Click on any of the highlighted items in the list to the right to see more Constanze Interior Projects Ltd were invited by the British Interior Design Association (BIDA) to design the master bedroom in the BIDA showhouse at the 2003 House & Garden/ Daily Telegraph Fair. The brief was to come up with a contemporary scheme. However, the real brief was to reach as many people as possible of a 40 000 strong audience from all walks of life at a large fair which lasts for 4 days. The design had to be strong and entertaining, something to be talked about with a theatrical aspect, but at the same time without compromising the design values of exquisite materials, understatement and elegance, and very importantly well being. 'We wanted to create a room that could work in both the residential and commercial fields' says Constanze,' to illustrate the diverse nature of our work and to let people experience what we mean by "emotional dynamic of space". The response of the public and press was overwhelming and the design achieved its aim. The following quote and the photographs give an impression of the atmosphere: For a breathtaking change of mood, part the black fringe that shields Constanze von Unruh's dramatic bedroom, enjoy the black velvet pile carpet and stroke soft walls upholstered in luxurious crimson silk. (…) crystals shine from a sumptuous, black velvet covered headboard and hang in sparkling chains over the bed. An ecstatic experience.' The Evening Standard June 25th 2003
